Overview

The Product and Service Code (PSC) system is a governmentwide taxonomy used to classify what the U.S. federal government buys, supporting consistent reporting in the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) and related acquisition systems. PSCs are maintained through the PSC Manual on Acquisition.gov and are required data in FPDS to describe “what” was purchased for each contract action. ¹
