PSC 1210
Overview
The Product Service Code (PSC) is a standardized taxonomy the U.S. government uses to categorize what is bought in federal awards, supporting contract reporting, spend analysis, and transparency across procurement systems. PSC entries are maintained in the PSC Manual and are recorded on each contract action reported in the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS). 1
PSC 1210 — FIRE CONTROL DIRECTORS identifies procurements for “fire control directors” within Group 12 (Fire Control Equipment). The PSC Manual lists 1210 by title under Group 12 and provides Group 12 classification notes that govern boundaries with adjacent classes (for example, complete systems, aircraft-specific components, and fire-control radar). Agencies apply these notes to decide when 1210 is appropriate versus other Group 12 classes. 1
